- oysters, shucked and on the half shell
- 3 tbsp
- garlic butter
- 45 mL
- 5 oz
- double cream brie cheese (about 4/5 of a 200 g wheel), rind removed and thinly sliced
- 160 g
- 1 tbsp
- chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 15 mL
- pepper to taste
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to broil. Place oysters, in their shells, on a baking tray. Spoon 1/2 tsp (2 mL) garlic butter on each oyster. Top each with a slice of brie.
Step 2
Broil until cheese is bubbling, 3 to 4 min.
Step 3
Sprinkle with thyme and pepper to taste.
Tip
Keep oysters from tipping by placing a layer of coarse salt on your baking tray. The salt also makes
for an elegant presentation.
