What our Local Suppliers have to say…
Ameen & Surria Fadel Co-Founders, Cedar Valley Selections – Oldcastle, Ontario
I started Cedar Valley Selections at the age of 16 along with the help of my mother, knowing nothing about the retail grocery industry. Our local Sobeys in Lakeshore, ON, was one of the first to carry our line of Dressings and Pita Chips back in 2018. Over the years, we were able to grow with Sobeys from one store, to 10, to 100, and now have our products in more than 350 Sobeys across Canada, all while growing from a small 100-sq.-ft. kitchen to a new 5,000-sq.-ft. facility. Not only has Foodland been an amazing partner to place our products in their stores, but they've genuinely helped us succeed along the way through their incredible support, advice, and knowledge available to all of their local suppliers.
Victoria Greene Owner/Founder, Deliciously Wickt - Lincoln, Ontario
We cannot even begin to find the words to describe what an incredible ride it has been since becoming a local supplier with Sobeys and Foodland in November 2021. With each new store we put our products in, we have been met with so much excitement and support by the owners/managers, staff and local communities. Our goal is always to set everyone up for success, so we love the honest preliminary discussions we have with the owners/managers to ensure that they feel our product would be well received by the demographics of their respective communities. We are so excited about Deliciously Wickt’s journey with Sobeys and Foodland and can’t wait to continue expanding into more stores!
Paul Hill President, Hill’s Jamaican Jerk – Halifax, Nova Scotia
The Local Program to support local businesses has helped my business to grow significantly over the years. I could not have done it without the support of the store owners/managers, grocery managers and all Foodland staff as a whole. They make me feel like part of the Foodland family whenever I enter the stores, it’s a feeling I can only describe as love and respect.
